PCSO Paul was at Royal Oak Yard last night after a spate of burglaries where parcels have been stolen; and is attempting to tackle this issue in general across the London Bridge and West Bermondsey ward, following up all CCTV footage opportunities, and gathering any still images and anything else that can assist the investigations. PCSO Paul is also building up a work file to identify them even after when cases are closed with two burglars already been identified from the work file and have served them both community protection warnings. There are some parcel thieves that will even look to steal parcels pretending to be from delivery companies to not look out of place so they can operate without suspicion and gain entry. Please remain alert and aware to anyone entering your building. Track your parcels and be around to collect them rather than leave them in communal spaces for hours. Parcel lockers can also help reduce opportunity. Call police if you strongly believe they are there to steal parcels or see anyone actually stealing parcels from the building. |
